Premium Dates

Dates, the original sweetener.

Dates have been nature’s candy since ancient Mesopotamia, where they were one of the very first sweeteners. In early Hebrew texts, the word we translate as “honey” often points to a fruit-based honey, what scholars now call “date honey.” With palms stretching across the landscape, it’s no wonder people pressed these fruits for their golden nectar. Though the rest of the world has enjoyed date delights for millennia, only recently have Canada and the U.S. caught the date craze. At Al’Bazaar, we’ve crafted a delicious lineup of date-based treats: from nutrient-rich date powder (a caramel-kissed sugar) and date paste to our signature chocolate-covered dates. And stay tuned...date syrup and date cookies are coming soon!
